Diary
of an Extension Part
2
Day
1 - First task was to clear the site and remove the fence so the
digger could get in. The site was then marked out before |
the
foundation trenches were dug. Due to the way the house was built in the
sixties these had to be deeper than normal meaning more soil to remove |

Day
5 - 6 cubic meters of concrete later and some bricks and blocks and the
new floor level was reached. |
The new
drain is dug and the manhole fittings are put into place. The side of
the extension can be seen in the background. |

Day
6 - The sun comes out as the ground work team dig the soak-away for
the roof water. |
Day 7 - Back
comes the rain as the foundations for the new patio are dug. Mud, mud glorious
